Eritrean citizen dies in Rumbek of suspected medication from untrained clinic

A foreign citizen from Eretria succumbed in Rumbek State Hospital over suspected medication in private clinic.

Police spokesperson, Major Elijah Mabor Makuac, told Good News Radio that police is investigating a clinic whose client died after receiving malaria treatment.

He explains that the suspected untrained health practitioner took the patient to the state hospital after developing complications at lower limb and right leg.

Major Mabor adds that further investigations are ongoing on how the man obtained his license from.

Rumbek State Medical Director Dr. Teran says the hospital received the patient with serious weakness.

He states that the patient succumbed after two hours of admission with jaundice signs.

Dr. Teran states that he cannot rule out whether the patient died of the malarial injection or not, but suggests the body should be taken to Juba for post-mortem.

According to the police, similar incident happened last year where another foreign national was given injection and died.
