The County Health Department in collaboration with African Medical Research Foundation – AMREF and other NGOs launched Covid-19 campaign in Tonj south county, Warrap state on Wednesday Don Bosco radio reported.
The acting medical director of Tonj civil hospital urged entire community to speed up and receive Johnson & Johnson vaccine for the sake of their healthy.
Wantok Bak said that the government of South Sudan have decided to use Johnson & Johnson because it has one dosage and is effective.
He encourages the community to the nearest health facility centres for injection because the vaccine is safe.

Bak appeals to the public that it is our collective responsibility to educate and guide our society in a rightful manner but not by incorrect rumours.
Acting director advised the community to stick to preventive measures, like social distancing, washing of hands with soap frequently and avoid social gathering as ways of preventing themselves from Covid-19 infection.
