The administration of Don Bosco Secondary school has on Monday organized one day for students to carryout Social Service to the community in the area.
The Social Service Day is organized yearly under the theme keep Tonj Clean and Green.
Speaking to Don Bosco Radio, Mr Boston Yogo, the Deputy Principal of the school says the objectives of the social service is to avoid the outbreak of disease in the area.
Boston says the initiative aims to keep public places neat as well as to teach students the necessity of keeping their environment green and clean for good health.
He appeals to the community to join hands in prioritizing hygiene and sanitation for the good health of the people living around.
Malaria and others diseases likely to breed in dirty places and can cause increase in the spread of outbreak, teacher said.
Meanwhile some school captains applaud the program and encourage the entire community to prefer living in good environment by cleaning up all the rubbish around the area.
The students wish good health to the community after social service to the citizens living in the town.
