Catholic Church medical mission starts Covid-19 vaccination for Juba City

The Catholic Medical Mission Board in collaboration with Central Equatoria State Ministry of Health is conducting a Covid-19 vaccination to Juba City Council staff.

The Johnson and Johnson jab commenced with the City Mayor, Michael Lodu Allah-Jabu, Bakhita Radio reported.

The mayor says it is a collective responsibility of Juba City Council to ensure that all staff members are protected.

Meanwhile, Solomon Pitya Nyambur, Deputy Mayor for Administration and Finance, urges the youth to take the jab in order for them to reduce the risk of spreading the virus to the most vulnerable people.

This is the first immunization campaign conducted to the civil servants since the launch of the Covid-19 vaccination in 2021
