One hundred and seventy four prison warden trainees graduated in Tonj South County of Warrap State on Wednesday.
Prison Warden Trainees Director Lual Machar said the graduates included both men and women from Tonj South, Tonj East, Tonj North and Warrap and who trained for one year and four months.He said the 174 new prison wardens will be dispatched to the various prisons of Greater Tonj by the Director of Prison Service.
Graduand Michael Majur said now he will be able to protect civilians.
Graduand Regina Akuc said there were 45 women among the graduated wardens and people were happy about the graduation ceremony.
Warrap Deputy Governor Akec Tong thanked the graduates.
He told them to work hard to protect civilians and keep security.
Mr Tong urged Tonj people to respect and cooperate with the newly graduated prison wardens for the betterment of the country.
