Students of Rumbek National Secondary School Thursday gathered at the office of the acting headmaster to confirm whether they sit the 2012 national examinations.
The students said they have reached the middle of the year without knowing their index numbers.Students’ representative Malaika Malith Kone told Good News Radio that he doubted whether he was going to sit for the examinations because there was no timetable.
He called for an immediate solution because the students waited enough time for the exams.
Many students expressed similar views.
Rumbek National Secondary School acting head teacher Henry Kojokole assured the students that he talked with the Deputy Secretary for Secondary Examinations and the timetable and the index number would arrive in one week.
He encouraged the students to keep on revising their subjects.
As the news academic year starts, Rumbek National Secondary School is already overwhelmed by many problems including lack of food and students refusing to register.
