The Federation of Morobo Football Association organized a tournament that concluded on Easter Sunday won by Green Valley FC that defeated FC Kaya 2-1 in the final.
The two teams were the finalists in a tournament that lasted for six months involving 12 squads Ð Morobo pressman Data Moses Ludoru told CRN via e-mail.Morobo County Commissioner Moses Simon Soro encouraged the youths to be active in sports and to participate in productive activities that can benefit their future instead of drinking and drugs.
The commissioner thanked all the teams that participated in the football competition and encouraged all the players in the County to take sports seriously to advance for higher level competition.
Mr Soro said the best players in the County should be selected to form the County football team to play other counties.
He announced the establishment of a county department of youths and sports.
Central Equatoria Minister for Gender and Social Development Mary Apayi Ayiga sponsored the Morobo football tournament.
