Western Bahr el Ghazal Governor called for forgiveness and unity among the citizens in the state instead of living in discrimination.
Rizik Zachariah Hessen made the call during Sunday Easter Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Wau, Voice of Hope reported.He said the Easter Mass was important and meaningful for all the Christian people in the state.
Mr Zachariah added that Easter was not a day for politics and he joined his brothers and sisters in celebrating together although he is a Muslim.
He gave a word of thanks to all for helping the government keep the state calm after Wau’s December deadly violence.
Mr Zachariah explained that what happened in December was the result of poor administration from previous governments after the long war.
He urged all citizen to embrace forgiveness and let 2013 be a year of peace and love.
Mr Zachariah noted that it was time to look towards development in the state and to organize the administration as stated in the South Sudan Constitution.
He urged all the people in state to be more tolerant to the government, because the country is coming out from the war.
