Hundreds of civilians affected by the latest clashes between the army and rebels in Pibor County of Jonglei State took refuge in Kenya.

UNOCHA wrote in its latest humanitarian bulletin for South Sudan that UNHCR-Kenya, the UN agency that deals with refugees, confirmed that number of people from Jonglei arriving to the Kakuma refugee camp has increased.

About 360 South Sudanese were registered since January of 2013, and additional new arrivals are awaiting registration.

Between 2010 and 2012, an average of 45 people was registered from South Sudan every year.
