The Magistrate at Wau North Court, in its fourth sitting, dropped ten of the 14 charges against four prison service officers for alleged involvement in Wau’s December deadly violence.
The four suspects were accused of 14 charges, including treason, which the Court dismissed as irrelevant based on lack of evidence, Voice of Hope reported.The four prison officers are Kasmiro Lobari Remijo, Susana Stephen Jabartala, Kasber Peter Biago and Moses Arkanjelo Mungu.
The defence lawyer for the four suspects demanded the court to hear the defendants’ witnesses.
The court hearing resumes on Monday when testimonies of witnesses presented by the defendants will be heard in court.
