Western Bahr El Ghazal is making preparations to hold its arts and cultural festival in April.
State Information Minister Derik Alfred Uya said the festival will run in Wau from April 5 to 11, Voice of Hope reported.He explained that the preparations were offered to Zain Network.
Mr Alfred said the festival aimed at promoting cultural performances as well as skills that will be displayed by local artist.
He added that the show includes traditional dances and local artists’ music.
Some artists from Juba wanted also to be present.
A movable cinema shall be open during the seven-day festival.
The minister made this statement shortly after his arrival in Wau from a meeting in Juba on cultural exhibitions.
