Students at Nile Model Secondary School in Juba completed re-filling forms to allow them sit for Sudan School Certificate.
On February 10, forms from more than 80 students were burnt in a fire at the office of the Deputy Head Teacher.School officer Alfred Lako Elia told Bakhita Radio that after the fire, the school authority informed the Ministry of General Education and it was told to re-register and submit names of the students whose forms and certificates were burnt.
He said the ministry responded positively and send new forms and all students filled them and now they were waiting for index numbers.
The officer added that students who sat for South Sudan Basic School will have their certificates replace by the ministry.
Mr Lako said the ministry will apply through the national government to replace the burnt certificates of those who completed their primary education in Khartoum.
He added that he did not know how to replace the certificates of the students who attended schools in East Africa.
Mr Lako said the students finalised filling the forms that are to be send to the ministry of general education to get index numbers.
