WESTERN BAHR EL GHAZAL STARTS MARKING P8 EXAMS

The Department of Examinations in Western Bahr el Ghazal State Ministry of Education has announced that it will begin the process of marking Primary Leaving Examination papers on Monday and the results should be out on March 1.

P8 final exams papers were collected in January from all counties of the state totalling more than 3,900 pupils.

Department Director Adam Jalal-Aldin Karam-Allah told Voice of Hope on Wednesday that his department shoulld finish registration of index numbers by Friday.

He said 70 teachers would mark the papers in the only correction centre in the state.

Police forces will monitor and guard the marking process in Raboua.

Mr Jalal-Aldin said the marking process and the preparation of results should take one week.

He added that the authorities made enough preparations to prevent occurrence of previous mistakes.

The Administration in the Department of Exams last year forgot to include the second best performer from Wau A Girls into the state list of ten best students.
