The Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba has decried Government’s malpractices on the Catholic Church in Juba.
Santo Loku Pio told the congregation at Saint Theresa’s Cathedral Kator on Sunday that the Government was illegally distributing Church land to individuals, Bakhita Radio reported.Bishop Loku said the Church land belongs to the people of God not to the Archbishop, his auxiliary or any individual in the archdiocese.
He urged lawyers, engineers and public servants to help in rebuilding the Church.
Bishop Loku said the people of South Sudan have forgotten the great things the Church did to them through the missionaries.
The Church has been involved in many conflicts with the local communities over land disputes.
