The Government condemned renewed air attacks on Jau, a contested area of Unity State.
Government spokesperson Barnaba Marial Benjamin said Sudan carried out two aerial bombardments in Jau on Thursday.
He described the bombardments as needless behaviour and Sudan was trying to put off the visit of the President on Mongolia to Bentiu.
Dr Marial said there was no need for Sudan to continue bombing areas of South Sudan and violating its airspace.
The Government spokesman said he did not have details about casualties and damages.
