A member of South Sudan Constitution Review Commission said he wanted to see that all people of South Sudan stood under the Constitution.

Atem Wek said the Transitional Constitution gives the president too many powers.

He said South Sudan needed a constitutional decentralized system of governance.

Mr Wek said if the revised Constitution does not suit the country he will tell people to boycott the Constitutional Conference.

Bol Makwei called on the participants to advocate a positive explanation of decentralization without distorting the right information.

The two speakers were talking during the closing session of a three-day workshop on decentralization and constitutionalism organized by South Sudan National Democratic Elections.

The workshop that drew participants from the ten states was funded by the Canadian Forum of Federations.
