A woman from Gimuno Boma in Yei River County of Central Equatoria on Thursday called on the county authorities to insert efforts to support the orphans of war victims and enable them to access education.

Alice Seima Philip Gamara told Radio Easter that the authorities should identify children who desire education but have no support.

She urged the authorities to bring street children to school too.

Mama Alice lamented that parents disturbed their children with undue punishment.

She pointed out that the children were traumatized by the war and should not be discriminated, especially those who consume drugs.

Mama Alice called on husbands to support their wives and plan and work together to bring unity to the country.

She made these statements after finishing a three-day workshop on trauma healing organized by the Catholic Diocese of Yei.
