Terekeka County Commissioner has called on cattle keepers residing in the neighbouring counties and states to return to their area to participate in its development.

Speaking after a one-day awareness visit to Tore Payam of Yei River County on Tuesday, Jacob Gore Samuel lamented that there were more than 400 Mundari ladies looking after cattle without education.

He said Mundari cattle have destroyed food crops of the hosting communities causing enmity among the neighbouring communities.

Mr Gore revealed that the move was aimed at benefiting the young generation, while appealing to the people to embrace unity and cooperation in the country.

The chairman of Mundari Business Community in Yei, Zachariah Agok said they were ready to heed the Commissioner’s call.

He added that they have a cordial relationship with different communities in the county.
