The Vice President of the Republic said that the media should be an effective vehicle to carry the message of healing and reconciliation the government initiated.
Riek Machar Teny met on Thursday evening with media representatives. He said if all radios and TV stations and newspapers talked about reconciliation the message would reach the entire population soon.He added that the media was the vehicle to effect reconciliation in South Sudan.
Dr Machar said the media bills in the parliament should be enacted into law when MPs returned for the next session.
The Vice President added that the government wanted the media bills passed into law because they were very important and much needed tools.
