The Lolubo community of Central Equatoria was asked to unite and solve differences to achieve development in the area.

For the last few months Kudwo Boma was in disagreement with other members of the Lolubo community over the allocation of land to investors for an economic zone, Bakhita Radio reported.

The dispute let to the suspension of Kudwo Boma and its chief.

Addressing the attendance at Nesitu village on Tuesday, Bishop Paul Benjamin Yugusuk told the community of Lomer and Kudwo to unite because they are one and there is nothing to separate them.

He called for the reinstatement of Kudwo Boma and its chief.

Kudwo Youth Association spokesperson Liberio Wani Vitaliano said his community did not refuse to give land for the establishment of the economic zone.

He said the process was not very transparent: the minister appeared with investors to force the community to sign the land donation without discussing the advantages and disadvantages of the deal.

Mr Wan said the community was unhappy because the agreement was reached between investors and members in the government who pretended to represent the Kudwo community.

Weeks ago the Kudwo Boma chief was arrested because he kept the community united not to give the land for the economic zone without negotiation.
