Lainya County Commissioner Huda Micah Laila on Monday officially opened Loka and Kupera primary schools as centres for accelerated learning program or ALP for adult primary education.

County pressman Bullen Lugala told Radio Easter that over 144 pupils, 95 boys and 49 girls, sat for P8 examinations in Lainya County.

He said that out of 218 ALP students only 144 sat for the examinations.

Commissioner Huda encouraged the candidates to work hard to join senior one this year because there is no limited age for education.

Charles Lokiko, one of the ALP learners, said that he was very happy because during the war he could not complete his education, but this is the right time.
