Two Missionary Sisters of Charity are in Yei to assess the possibility of opening a community in the catholic diocese.
Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe of Yei told Radio Easter that Regional Superior Mary Bernadette and the superior of Rumbek community Ann Mariol met with some priests on Tuesday to see the needs for a community in the area.Bishop Lodu said the sisters are concerned with the care of the poor and their charism fits very well within the reality of the diocese.
He added that he was going to write an official request to the congregation in order for the sisters to start studying the possibility to have a community in the diocese of Yei.
Bishop Lodu said he hoped the sisters would answer positively to the request of the diocese.
