SPLM-Central Equatoria senior members on Monday started to revisit the vision and the structures of the party in order to get ready for the extraordinary Convention later in the month.
State Secretary General Jackson Abugo Gama told Bakhita Radio that since 2005 until the referendum the SPLM did a tremendous job that culminated with the independence of the country.He said now the SPLM should organize the liberation of the people of South Sudan from poverty, hunger and insecurity.
He added that it was time to transform the party in the areas of structures, economy and nation building to satisfy its mission and vision.
SPLM National Secretary for Political Affairs and Mobilization Antipas Nyok said the training was part of a pilot project developed by the national secretariat last year to train the SPLM leaders in the states.
He said the package contained three items that required the leaders to be clear about: SPLM vision, leadership skills and economic transformation.
Mr Nyok said the training was done in six states and in the remaining four will kick off very soon.
