The national ministry of interior on Friday said after conducting the general screening of the police officers last year, a report is being scrutinized to establish final findings.
Police spokesperson James Monday Enocka told Bakhita Radio that the screening process finished and the ministry is analysing the findings.He said the screening was done across the ten states and the report will be out soon.
Mr Monday said the screening was conducted to help the ministry knows the exact number of personnel who are eligible for the service.
He said the government will decide what to do with those found unable for the police.
Mr Monday added that the ministry is preparing three batches of police officers with university graduates.
The Police spokesperson said the ministry of interior was working hard to recruit learned personnel into the police and eliminate the 70 percent who are illiterate.
