UNMISS, the United Nation Mission in South Sudan, on Saturday cleaned Rumbek National Secondary school to make an awareness campaign about health and hygiene.
UNMISS public information officer Laxui Bhakta Shrestha told Good News Radio that the cleanup campaign meant to pass a message about hygiene and sanitation to control diseases.He said the UNMISS team cleaned the compound, classes, dormitories and toilets.
Major Shrestha explained that it was a part of UNMISS mandate in South Sdan to help the community to learn how to keep hygiene and sanitation.
He requested the community to cooperate to achieve peace and security.
The hygiene and sanitation awareness campaign will be extended in other schools in Lakes state.
