The Kumbur Payam Water Committee held an important meeting Saturday afternoon to discuss the provision of clean water in that area of Nuba Mountains.
A number of boreholes in the Payam have been reported broken down.Heiban County Director for Water and Engineering Moktar Hissen Kodi chaired the meeting.
He said the meeting discussed the provision of spare parts to repair the broken water points.
Mr Hissen added that he was happy to solve water shortage problems in Kumbur.
He called on the payam residents to cooperate with water engineers in order to repair boreholes.
Mr Hissen stated that Kumbur Payam has a total of 58 boreholes and over 30 were broken down.
The County Director asked the community to take care of the water pumps in the area.
