The head of Gudele Two Popular Committee said on Friday that they are ready to make a community police made up of young men to maintain security.

Francis Jackson told CRN that his committee, the head of Central Equatoria state Police and the Director of Gudele Police station last week discussed security issues.

He said the meeting discussed how residents cooperate with the police to maintain security in Juba.

Mr Jackson said the Popular Committee had agreed to make up a community police so that they can support the police and maintain security situation in the area.

He added that youth from Gudele Two popularly known as Kubri Habuba East have volunteered and will be orientated how to cooperate with the police to identify criminals.

Mr Jackson deplored insecurity in Juba saying that it is unfortunate that it is happening when people expect total peace and freedom.

On Saturday morning a body of a young man was found hanging on a tree, ten metres away from Gudele Two police station, northeast of its wall where some foreigners lay bricks.

The victim had bruises on his face, on the back and seems to have been killed and then hanged on the tree to appear as if he committed suicide.
