South Sudan has launched official complain to the UN Security Council protesting Sudan aerial and ground attacks on December 26 in Northern Bahr El Ghazal state.
Government spokesperson, Barnaba Marial Benjamin told journalists that Sudan Armed Forces continuous attacks are complete violations of the Cooperation Agreements and the security agreements South Sudan and Sudan signed.He said the incident contradicts the spirit of resolving issues peacefully and that the government has asked the UN Security Council to condemn Sudan’s aggression on South Sudan.
Dr Marial explained that Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) aerial attacks on Wednesday dropped 11 bombs in the morning and 14 bombs in the afternoon.
He added nearly 25 bombs were dropped in densely populated areas of Kiir Adem in Northern Bahr El Ghazal.
The government spokesperson was speaking to journalists after the meeting of the council of ministers in Juba on Friday.
