Warrap State Minister for Agriculture and Animal Resources has accused media houses of failing to play their roles in Wau recent violence.
Paul Dhel Gum accused media houses including Miraya FM and some NGOs of transmitting information that incite hatred and intolerance.He urged the youth of Greater Bahr El Ghazal to unite against ill ideologies of old politicians.
The Minister explained that the problem of Wau County headquarters transfer is administrative.
He strongly dismissed the transfer as tribal conflict between Dinka and Balanda, urging tribes in Wau to co-exist peacefully and reject anyone encouraging tribalism.
Mr Dhel called on the youth of South Sudan to reject cheap political mongering of the elders.
He expressed his regret on the youths who were manipulated and used as tools to destabilise the country.
Mr. Dhel described this Christmas season as not joyful compared to previous ones because of the violence that filled people’s hearts with sorrows and sadness.
This is the first Christmas after CPA for believers in Wau to celebrate without night prayers on December 24 due to the security situation.
