The Bishop of the Episcopal Church of the Sudan (ECS) in Rumbek on Thursday has predicted that the year 2013 would be a year of peace particularly in Lakes State, South Sudan, Sudan and the entire world.
Alphayo Manyang Kuctiel said the coming year 2013 will be peaceful, successful and merciful compare to the year 2012, Good News Radio reported.He said the year 2012 was full of wars within and outside and that it was a little bit confusing year especially in Lakes State.
Bishop Manyang quoted a local artist, John Kudusy as saying peace is very important for the development of the country because peace makes one walks free without fear.
He said with war no development and that now people need development not war because South Sudanese have been in wars for many years.
Bishop Manyang urged everyone to embrace peace and the spirit of togetherness and extended his Christmas wishes to all people of South Sudan.
