Christian students from different denominations in Juba on Saturday gathered at Episcopal Church of the Sudan’s (ECS) All Saint Cathedrals to celebrate Christmas carol in preparation to receive the birth of Jesus Christ.
Benjamin Martin Evangelist at All Saint Cathedral said the students from the different churches are celebrating Christmas carol as a beginning to bring all Christian students together to know one another.He urged the Christian students in South Sudan to work for peace especially at this difficult moment.
Mr Martin said without peace among the youth there will be no harmony among the people of South Sudan.
He called on the Church leaders and the government officials to give youth chances of preaching the Gospel to the people.
Mr Martin said Christmas should be a beginning of new life in the heart of every individual so that everybody works for peace in the new nation.
The occasion was organised by the Young Christian Society to prepare their hearts to receive the coming new born Saviour.
