Central Equatoria State high level delegation on Friday arrived to Yei River County to investigate the incidence of burnt houses in Lomuku one, Lomuku two, Kanjoro and New Site residential areas last week.
The state minister for Cabinet Affairs who heads the committee, Cecilia Oba explained that the committee is to investigate the root causes of the incident.She said other objectives include knowing the culprits involved in the incident, determining the level of properties damaged and present a report to the Governor within a week Radio Easter reported.
The minister urged the population in the County to remain calm and celebrate the Christmas festival in peace.
The five-member committee comprising the state minister for Public Service, state Coordinator on Conflict Mitigation and the Minister for Cabinet Affairs.
