Majority of citizens in Juba are prepared to celebrate Christmas next Tuesday, but they are worried because of the ongoing insecurity situation in the town.

A source told Bakhita Radio that two years since she came to Juba she had not gone for night mass because insecurity hinders free movement.

She said Christmas is a nice moment for the Christians to enjoy their happiness, but that rampant guns roar threaten joy of the big day.

The source urged the government to improve security so that next year Christians enjoy Christmas.

Another caller said one of the main obstacles that create much fear to the citizens is the authority reluctance to device measures that restrict the rampant killing.

He said day and night guns are shot everywhere creating fear on Christians to go for night mass.

The source added that most people who work with government did not even received their salaries to celebrate Christmas joyfully.

Many people blame the government for failing to curb down the rampant killing of civilians within the residential areas.
