Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Torit is leading a delegation of clergy and Christians for talks on peaceful co-existence among the Toposa of South Sudan, Nyangatom of Ethiopia and Turkana of Kenya.
Johnson Akio Mutek said the talks initiated by the Catholic Diocese of Lodwa, involve Church leaders, Christians and governments of three neighbouring countries of South Sudan, Kenya and Ethiopia.He said the visit is also to celebrate the fortieth year of St. Patrick Missionary’s service at the Catholic Diocese of Lodwa in Kenya.
He said the Catholic Diocese of Torit also expects to ask the St. Patrick missionaries to assist in the parishes that are easy for them to access from the Diocese of Lodwa.
Another delegation from the Catholic Diocese of Torit is set to travel to Tombura-Yambio and Arua Catholic Dioceses to join in celebration of Centenaries.
