Isohe Catholic Parish of Torit Diocese has launched a campaign to promote and build peace in the area.
Magdalene Beato, Peace Building Campaign Team leader said the project aimed at empowering women economically through agriculture, Radio Emmanuel reported.Ms Beato said over 150 families have registered for economic empowerment through agriculture in Isohe.
She urged the community to engage in agricultural activities adding that peace can never be achieved when people are hungry.
The activist called upon men to help women achieve peace in various communities.
Ms Beato said the peace building campaign will be extended to other parishes of the Catholic Diocese of Torit.
The Campaign was supported by Eastern Equatoria State UN women and the Catholic Diocese of Torit.
