The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) has called on the national and state Governments to prevent inter-communal conflicts in the coming dry season.

Ê

She revealed that the Mission is holding meetings to find ways and to create peace among communities instead of conflict during this dry season.

The UNMISS Chief advised the governments to carry out similar exercises in order to keep the communities busy on peace building rather than conflicts.

Ms Johnson explained that without security and stability it would be very difficult to achieve food security.

She urged the national government to shine and do better in this second year of independence in order to show the world its interest of nation building.

Ms Johnson was speaking this morning at the opening of the Governors’ Forum in Juba
