The ten governors of South Sudan are starting on Monday their second four-day forum in Juba with members of the Legislature, key ministers and development partners.
The Governors Forum provides a platform for discussion and action on policies related to political, fiscal and administrative governance issues.Vice President Riek Machar Teny facilitates the Forum under the theme “Agriculture for Sustainable Food Security and Economic Growth”.
The participants will tackle a number of issues including economic development, mechanisms to support agricultural development and production, the South Sudan Development plan as well as individual state issues.
The Office of the President organizes the Second Governors Forum after independence with support from the United Nations Development Programme.
