Women in the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek and other churches are getting skills on the role of women in peace building.
The workshop is being organized by a group known as Voice of Women for Peace and Faith, Good News Radio reported.A member of Juba-based Solidarity with South Sudan, Sr. Catherine Aratha said the workshop aimed at teaching women to know their important role in building peace in their communities.
She said the workshop will teach women how to persevere the challenges of inequality they face.
Sr. Aratha explained that after the workshop each woman will be given a candle meaning she is a light and will bring light to the community.
She called for respect of women dignity since God created man and women in his image.
The workshop will last for two days.
