FLOODS AFFECT DOZENS OF FAMILIES IN GUDELE

Dozens of families in Gudele two also known as Kubri Habuba area were affected by flash flood caused by heavy rain on Thursday.

The residents blamed the bricks layers for expanding the stream through their activities along the stream that diverted the water into the residential areas from its normal way.

Victim Mary Philip a returnee from Uganda told CRN that the house she rented last week was flooded to the extend that water was flowing in the compound on Thursday.

She said her belongings are in the middle of her compound waiting for a truck because she wants to move to Gurei.

Ms Philip lament that she has no money to pay for the truck to carry her properties.

Ms Philip added that people in the Juba are suffering because of lack of good houses and that it is worse for the returnees because they have to rent.

Lodu Morbe is blind; he stays in a makeshift hut covered with nylon, he said went it rained on Thursday his shelter was submerged and that he slept in the water.

He added that the nylon covering the roof of his shelter was torn and that he needs a new one.

More than 50 families were affected by the flash flood on Thursday
