Yambio Farmers Association (YAFA) has agreed with World Vision International for the organization to buy maize from its members in Yambio County.
YAFA Chairperson, Mr. Louis Magianga told Anisa Radio that they received a message that World Vision Juba has already secured money that will be sent to Yambio branch for purchasing Maize.He explained that they agreed to sell a bag of 100 KG with 75 pounds in all the centres in various Payams.
Mr. Magianga added that discussions are underway with the World Food Program, WFP to purchase also other products like Maize, groundnuts, Sorghum, and others.
He urged all farmers to bring their maize for grinding at YAFA office in Yambio town to get pure maize flour for local consumption.
Mr. Magianga appreciated this year’s first season production because many farmers have stored surplus of food crops.
