Western Bahr El Ghazal Government has started a mass sensitization campaign to heal the rift caused by the decision to transfer Wau County Headquarters.
One hundred employees in the State Ministry of Physical Infrastructure gathered to learn why the headquarters had to move to the rural areas, Voice of Hope reported.Acting Minister Archangelo Anyar Anyar explained to his employees that the move was constitutional.
He called on intellectuals to stop orchestrating violence.
Mr Anyar said only the County administration was transferred.
He advised employees to express their views freely and to be taken into account.
Mr Anyar reassured the fearful employees that any view should be respected and no one would be arrested or harassed for expressing concerns.
He said any injury caused during the protest would be treated as individual case.
This was the first consultative meeting conducted in an attempt to explain the Constitution to the civil servants.
On Tuesday, the state governor told all ministers to explain why headquarters should transfer to the rural areas.
