The Catholic Archdiocese of Juba is using the celebration of All Saints Day to inaugurate its celebration of the Year of the Faith.
Vicar-General Nichola A. Kiri told CRN that he will preside over the inaugurating mass at St Theresa’s Cathedral on Thursday at 5:00 PM to allow working people to take part in the event.He explained that the Year of the Faith concludes on November 24, 2013, feast of Christ the King.
Fr Kiri said the Year of the Faith was a time of grace for Catholics to know, pray and act their faith.
Pope Benedict called the Year of the Faith to celebrate 50 years of the beginning of the Second Vatican Council and 20 years of publication of the Catechism of the Catholic Church and strengthen their faith.
