The SPLM-DC secretariat in the USA has issued a statement refuting the Vice-President’s allegations that the party supports rebel movements in South Sudan.

The statement said Riek Machar Teny briefed the South Sudanese community in Omaha, Nebraska, on Saturday about the latest development in South Sudan and accused the SPLM-DC to be a strong ally to South Sudan rebels.

The office of the SPLM-DC/USA Secretariat dismissed the allegation as false and unfounded.
It added that the ruling party in South Sudan time and again blames its failures on good governance and maintaining security on SPLM-DC.
The statement challenged the Government of South Sudan to bring to court its full evidence for the SPLM-DC connection with armed groups and Southern rebels.
