A high level delegation team from Central Equatoria Government went to Yei to assess the poor conditions of the road linking the county with the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The state minister for Physical Infrastructure, Suba Samuel, talked to the press at the border post, Radio Easter reported.He said the international road was in a very bad shape with a number of bridges and potholes to be fixed.
Mr Samuel explained that his ministry is committed to ensure that the road is repaired to allow development into the area.
Yei River County Commissioner Juma David Augustine said a good road would improve traffic flow, businesses and access of critical services.
Francis Barson, the minister of information, was part of the state inspection team.
