Central Equatoria State Television and Radio stations known as Central Equatoria Network or CEN will go on air in the coming weeks.

Deputy Governor Manasseh Lomole Waya told CRN that the state cabinet was very impressed by the work done in the TV and the radio studios.

He said he was confident that CEN would be launched in the next few weeks.

The Deputy Governor added that TV and the Radio would be an addition to the existing media outlets and provide people with a variety of options.

Mr Lomole said CEN will benefit the whole country because every good thing done in Juba influences the nation.

The manager of the Dubai based Fujerah Media Group Operations in South Sudan, Nyarji Jermlili Roman, said the cabinet was very happy because the studios meet international standards.

He said the Central Equatoria Government and its citizens were proud of their own media house and his company would help reach and maintain international standards in media management.

Mr Jermlili explained that the project cost 2.3 million US dollars, including buildings, furniture, equipment and training.

He added that the government has paid half of the sum.

Mr Jermlili said the Group needed a small help to finish the work and launch REN.
