Girls are being encouraged and supported to take sciences and technology courses at secondary and university levels.

Society of Ladies and Girls Empowerment Effort (SLAGE) is encouraging young girls to go to school and study sciences.

SLAGE Secretary-General Barigye Coban Timothy told CRN that girls should develop their interests while in school to study sciences and technology.

He said SLAGE will visit primary and secondary schools to establish science clubs and support the best students to complete their education.

Mr Coban called on women to go to school and learn.

He said age should not be a limit.

Mr Coban also encouraged women to form groups and start businesses to earn a living instead of sitting idle at home.

He urged young girls to love the study of sciences because it is the best thing used for technology.

SLAGE is a non-governmental organization operating in Central Equatoria empowering women and girls through education, economic and social activities.
