A foreign oil company operating in South Sudan said it was excited about the oil deal and it expected to reach an output of 180 thousand barrels per day within three months.
The President of Chinese Dar Petroleum Operating Company (DPOC), Sun Xiansheng, told this to CRN after an historical meeting with all department managers to congratulate the people and the government of South Sudan for the deal signed with Sudan in Ethiopia.
He said the meeting was an indication that his company was determined to make sure oil production resumed as soon as fast and as safe as possible.
Dr Xiansheng said within three months DPOC will reach a daily output of 180,000 barrels of oil per day in the Upper Nile fields, valued at five billion dollars per year.
