Wau County authorities in Western Bahr El Ghazal want to build a cattle camp for livestock roaming inside the town.
The initiative came as a result of a local order issued by Wau County to move cattle out of the town last month.Wau County Commissioner John Peter Miskin told Voice of Hope that the authorities were surprised that the community did not to respect the order.
He said the lack of respect led the county authorities to plan for a cattle camp for any cow or goat been found inside town.
The animals shall be kept there until the owner pays a fine to free them.
Mr Peter said the county tried to set good relations with the community but animal owners failed to respect the rules.
He added that the authorities asked cattle owners several times to keep their animals in proper places but now they will punish those who are breaking the order.
The commissioner urged citizens to organize their cattle before the authorities start to move around collecting stray animals.
