The youth of South Sudan have potential to lead the country and to dream big.
International Republican Institute (IRI) launched on Thursday the Youth Leadership Academy to prepare tomorrow’s political leaders.IRI Resident Country Director Franklin Bonner said the youth in South Sudan have potentials and the future president of South Sudan was among the faces in the conference room.
He urged the youth to dream big for big success with hard work.
Mr Bonner said the future of South Sudan is being shaped through nation building laws, including Political Parties Act, media laws and trade agreements.
He asked the young people whether they were happy to fold their hands and watch it unfold without their involvement.
Mr Bonner said the youth of South Sudan should ask what was their role and responsibility toward the changes in nation building.
Youth Leadership Academy targets 20 males and ten females from eight political parties in South Sudan through a six-month training on skills on political participation by IRI.
