The Chairman of South Sudan Motorcycle or Boda-boda Association had denied that associate riders were behind all crimes committed by motorcyclists in Juba.
Abraham Jok was responding to wide accusations levelled against boda-boda riders accusing them of robberies and killings in the capital, Bakhita Radio reported.Mr Jok said boda-boda riders were being blamed for every crime in Juba.
He defended that boda-boda riders were mindful of their own business and not interested in crime.
Mr Jok said he could not blame specific people for crimes in Juba because he did not have proper evidence.
He added that criminals in Juba are South Sudanese citizens in general and not boda-boda riders as such.
Boda-boda riders are being blamed for the high rate of criminality in Juba including accidents and bag snatches, despite the fact that many other citizens ride motorcycles as private means of transport.
